Have knee pain? Pain Control Associates can help! Have physical therapy, steroid, or gel injections stopped working? Traditionally, the options to control knee pain were very limited due to the high impact on the joint. However, Pain Control Associates has introduced a new therapy to Northwest Indiana that can delay the need for a total knee replacement, enable pain relief for nonsurgical candidates, or provide pain control for individuals that have continued pain after a total knee replacement.
Genicular Nerve Blocks and Radiofrequency ablation are minimally invasive procedures that can decrease knee pain signals to the brain. The procedure itself takes minutes and carries very little side effects since the nerves course outside the knee capsule. This is ideal because this therapy can be used in conjunction with a knee replacement and does not have any recovery period. Additionally, these nerves do not control the sensation of the skin or the motor function of the knee.
Have questions or think you would benefit from this therapy? We at Pain Control Associates would gladly explain the procedure in detail and determine if you are a candidate! We have locations in Schererville, Crown Point, Valparaiso, Munster, Hobart, and Olympia Fields.
