How is neck pain caused?

Because the neck must remain flexible to bear the weight of the human head, it can also be prone to injury. One of the causes of neck pain can be as the result of a pinched nerve. This happens when the vertebrae shift out of alignment, causing them to push down on the nerves and inflicting pain in the neck.

What are common ways to help back pain?

If you are experiencing back pain — especially if it has been going on for a long time, or seems to be getting more intense — medical injections and nerve blocks may help. These are some of the most commonly performed procedures and can reduce swelling and provide back pain relief and prevention of future pain.

What causes neuropathy?

Injuries or repetitive strain can cause your nerves to break down physically. Common forms of this are carpal tunnel syndrome — caused by continually straining your wrists — or nerve damage from traumatic events like auto accidents or workplace injuries. In other cases, a disease or condition causes widespread nerve breakdown in parts of your body. Diabetes often causes extensive nerve damage, resulting in numbness.
